Privacy Policy
At Timetag, your physical privacy and digital data ownership are fundamental to our architecture. Learn how we handle your information.
🛡️ Summary Statement: 100% On-Device & Private
Timetag is built on a **zero-trust database model**. We do not operate cloud servers that upload, store, monitor, sell, or analyze your photos, videos, recorded voice logs, barcode scans, or GPS coordinate points. Everything you capture remains entirely on your physical hardware storage.
01. Camera & Microphone Permissions
Timetag requires active device permission to access your camera and hardware microphone to capture photos and high-resolution videos. The visual frames are processed locally within the application buffer to overlay the selected timestamp styles and coordinate stamps. This data is written directly to your native photo gallery or a local project folder and is never transmitted off-device.
02. Location (GPS) Geotagging
To stamp latitude, longitude, elevation, compass bearings, and coordinate precision metadata onto your photos, Timetag queries your mobile device's onboard GPS chip, satellite channels, or offline network triangulation. This coordinate logging runs strictly in real-time when the camera viewfinder is active. We never track your location in the background when the app is closed, and coordinate arrays are never sent to external servers.
03. Barcode & QR Scan Code Processing
When utilizing the integrated QR/barcode scanner, the captured scan frames are analyzed in-app using lightning-fast client-side machine learning algorithms. The decoded value (text strings, alphanumeric arrays, or web URLs) is written directly into the image watermark layout and optionally saved to your offline historical logging file. Absolutely no network requests are dispatched during scanning operations.
04. Third-Party APIs and Maps
If you choose to use optional features such as "Reverse Geocoding Address Stamps", the app may invoke trusted native system geocoding engines (such as Apple CoreLocation or Google Play Services APIs) to resolve coordinates into human-readable street addresses. These requests are governed directly by the privacy policies of your mobile operating system (Apple iOS or Google Android).
05. Children's Privacy Protection
Because Timetag does not gather or transmit personal data, our services are completely safe for all age demographics. We do not deliberately acquire, solicit, or accumulate any identifying information from children under the age of 13.
06. Contact and Inquiries
If you have any questions or security audits regarding our local data architecture, please submit an inquiry through our dedicated Support Hub or contact our compliance officer at privacy@kingproapps.com.
